What Gatsby does
Gatsby is a software platform used by finance and M&A professionals to run email outreach to potential deal counterparties. You connect your work email so Gatsby can draft, send, and track outreach from your own address. Gatsby helps you find relevant companies and contacts, write personalized emails, send them from your inbox, and keep every reply organized over long deal cycles.
Why Gatsby connects to Google
When you sign in with Google, Gatsby connects your Gmail account so the outreach you approve is sent from your real address, and so replies land back in one place. Without this connection, Gatsby cannot send email on your behalf or track the conversations that follow.
What Google data Gatsby uses
When you connect your Google account, Gatsby:
- Uses Google Sign-In to authenticate you and identify your email address for sending.
- Drafts and sends the outreach emails you approve, from your address.
- Reads emails only to detect replies to your outreach, so every conversation is tracked in one place.
- Schedules and sends follow-ups over long deal cycles.
What Gatsby does not do with your data
- We never use your email data for advertising.
- We never use your Google data, including Gmail data, to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
- We never share your Google data with third parties except as needed to provide the service you requested, to comply with law, or as part of a merger with prior notice.
- We request only the permissions required for these features, and you can revoke access at any time in your Google account settings.
Google API Services: Limited Use disclosure
Gatsby's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
